my prediction eMopeds will take off - vampire - October 29, 2025

I have seen allot of videos of group rides, and I have noticed some consistent patterns. No matter the location, moped-style seem most popular. I don't see too many eMotorcycles or eScooters or EUC.    Does not seem anyone wants to pedal, only pretending sometimes to show that they are maybe a regular "cyclist"

No one cares about the bike classification and limits or classes.  People ride wherever they please mostly streets but also bike paths, or trails. It seems calm without any problems from authorities and without any accidents.   Also seems like a great way to meet people and fairly organized and safe enough.  Most people wear helmets and protection.

Because I don't see anyone peddling too much I think (and hope) eMoped will be a huge growing subsegment of the micro mobility industry.   I'm stoked!

I went on 1 PEV group ride and I the split between ebikes, emopeds, escooters, and eskateboards was roughly equal.  For those that don't want to pedal could shift to all those categories and not necessarily eMopeds.

Electric mopeds and electric motorcycles are cool, however lots of jurisdictions are currently eying requiring for them to be licensed because they look too close like real road gas vehicles that require driver license, insurance and gas.   So that could damper this market subsegment taking off.
