Storing my scooter outside for winter - FullyCharged - December 7, 2025 Due to space limitation I am being asked to store my scooter outside for winter. I can do all proper cover so that snow doesn't fall on it, but I am worried about the battery. How much degradation can I expect? should I charge it up once in a while? I know teslas get stored outside even in winter, but they get trickled charged or whatever. What about a scooter? Is this a bad idea? RE: Storing my scooter outside for winter - scooterman - December 23, 2025 Not worth it if you can avoid it. It would be something significant like 5% to 15% depending how cold. These batteries degrade in general, but this just adds to it. It is also bad for the motor. Condensation could build up. |
