My leg cramps - Waffle - December 28, 2025
Hey folks,
Quick question. Does anyone else get nighttime leg cramps after riding? I usually ride about an hour to an hour and a half when I'm out.
Every now and then I wake up with a sharp calf cramp while sleeping. It hits fast and takes maybe 10 seconds of standing and stretching before it eases off. It's almost always just one leg. I tend to sleep with my legs slightly bent, not fully stretched out.
I stay pretty well hydrated and use electrolytes, so I'm not convinced that's the cause. Could be age, muscle fatigue, or just one of those random things. It doesn't happen often enough to worry me, but I don't remember dealing with this when I was younger - even though I rode harder back then (pre-eBike days).
Curious if others have experienced something similar.
