Low-profile body armor for e-bike commuting in a warm city? - sanjeev - April 18, 2026
I am moving to a bike friendly city and want to commute more on my ebike. I will mostly stick to separated bike lanes, but I know I will eventually end up on some of those painted lanes next to crazy drivers. I think I should start wearing more protective gear.
I want something like a jacket and gloves that offer real protection but are low profile and won't make me overheat. I am totally new to this and all the gear I find seems to be either too hot and heavy for summer, or just regular cycling clothes with no protection at all.
Does anyone have recommendations for something in between?
