Staring on an efoil - waterman - September 10, 2025
Hello, I am new to the board. Thanks for the invite!
I am curious about these e-foils and getting going on it. There are some nice instruction videos you can find on the web.
That is all great but I have feeling some falls and dips into water will happen before getting a hang of this thing? Anyone has some personal experiences?

Step #1 On your tummy, play with the throttle (make sure it is tight to your hand with a strap)
Step #2 On your knees
Step #3 Stand up
You will get the hang of it. Ideally you are ok with taking few accidental dips if you planning on getting into this sport.

How do you actually turn on the efoil? I see on slow speeds he is on his tummy and turnig is explained. He doesn't mention how to actually turn when you are floating above the water.

You just lean whatever way you want to turn. To turn left shift your weight onto your toes and lean left. To turn right shift your weight onto your heels/toe edge and lean right.
