Riding an electric scooter - going over bumps - adrenalineaddict - August 19, 2025 Found some useful videos from Electric Scooter Guide on common pitfalls when riding It mentions to bend your knees when riding and particularly when braking. I also wanted to highlight the importance of knee bending and shifting your weight to the back when going over bumps. This method takes the load off the front and puts it on the back which is important right before the initial impact. Essentially it doesn't bump the front as much lessening the chance of loosing the steering control. It is almost like you are just trying to lift the front slightly right before you go over the bump. I noticed that it just gives you more stability in general and you will feel the bumps less. |
