Best thing that has ever happened to me. You can easily go slow and they are a breeze to handle at slow speed. Going around people in public does not seem to intimidate anyone as I am basically at their speed. You can then jump on the road, and speed up and go at half the speed of regular car traffic. It is a good fit for sidewalks (frown upon sometimes), alleys and public squares, shared biking trails even with some gentle offroad, and regular street. It is compact enough that you can bring it indoors with an inconvenience factor of a stroller. I see more and more of them in every city and it seems that this was the missing middle for mobility.
eBicycles are much bigger and bulkier. Same thing for eMopeds. Electric unicycles can also be compact, however I don't think they are as easy to handle on the slow speeds, you need some more momentum to stay stable. I never tried one, but it looks like that to me.
It is like my little transformer. A multipurpose vehicle that blends the best of many worlds. I always feel great after a scooter ride!
