What I have: Bafang BBSHD 1000W mid-drive kit installed on a Trek 820 mountain bike, paired with a Luna 52V 19.2Ah "Shark" battery pack and the Luna DPC-18 color display.
I just finished the build last week and I've charged the battery fully twice now. The charger clicks off and shows green, and when I check the pack with my multimeter it reads 58.4V, which lines up with what I'd expect for a 52V (14S) pack at full charge. But the DPC-18 display is only showing 82% and drops to "low battery" warnings a lot earlier than I'd expect on rides.
I dug into the display's settings menu and there's a "battery voltage" option, and it's currently set to 48V, not 52V. I didn't touch that setting myself, so I'm assuming it shipped that way or maybe got set during the initial pairing with the controller.
My question is, if I go into the display settings and change that voltage parameter from 48V to 52V, will that fix the percentage and low-voltage cutoff readings so they match the real state of the battery, or does the BBSHD controller itself also need to be reflashed/reprogrammed separately to actually recognize a 52V pack, and not just the display? I don't want to end up in a situation where the display says one thing and the controller cuts off power based on a different internal assumption.
