Fat tires and ebikes

Hello, I am a bit of a seasoned gentleman currently looking into getting into ebikes. I have been watching this market for a while and I noticed many new different styles that have merged over last several years. I am wondering what is the deal with fat tires (4 inch tire width).  I see them on smaller 20 inch wheels but also on 26.  What is the fuzz all about??

It is just a different feeling with fat tires.  It feels like a 2 wheel tank or monster truck.  It acts as suspension, mostly meant for off-road environments.

Let’s be real - they look downright badass cruising past skinny-tire commuters. More traction, more stability, more style - what’s not to love?   Much easier to handle them on an e-bike than regular bike :P
