Who makes the battery cells for e-mopeds?

When considering a battery for an electric moped, is it a good idea to consider who makes the cells?    I'm reading that Samsung and LG are good brands.   If I am considering a Emmo scooter, how can I truly verify who makes their battery cells?

The only true verification is to take the battery apart.  But it doesn't necessarily mean you will see "LG" or "Samsung" on the actual cell.
