rental scooters - net positive or not really ?

I would love to see some data to see if cheaper prices would result broader adoption which would potentially lead to better impact on the environment.  However, I understand it would be limited - particularity in climates where riding these is not possible all year around.

I highly doubt that implementing scooters alone has any significant impact on the environment, similar to many other ideas in the green movement.

As for improving the commutes - it is all about the price per ride.
